Explore the nooks and crannies of Mount Pleasant while participating in an AMAZING opportunity to win the BIG $5000 prize from Hamilton's Jewelers. Hamilton's Diamond Dash is a city-wide scavenger hunt. In this high-tech hunt, all the clues and riddles are sent via text message to your cell phone.

RULES:

The Hamilton’s Jewelers Diamond Dash is a one-day, real world treasure hunt around the city! All locations and challenges will be delivered straight to your cell phone. Grab a teammate, solve challenges, and earn points to win a $5,000 diamond ring or earrings!

EVENT GUIDELINES:

• Each team consists of 2 people, a "Team Captain" and a "Team Navigator".
• Both team members must be 18 years or older to participate.
• Participants cannot use or receive help with transportation from anyone outside the team during the race, either on foot or in any type of vehicle.
• Participants must sign a hold harmless agreement prior to the event.
• Any violation of these rules can result in disqualification, and are at the sole discretion of Mount Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce.

Insider Look - How the "dash" works:

All participants will meet at the Chamber of Commerce at 4 pm on October 6th. Only 50 teams will be able to register and participate. Each team of 2 people will provide a phone number that they will use to communicate. That number will be given to Verizon Wireless - Verizon will do all communication with participants through text messaging. The Dash will end at 7 pm. The crowning of the Dash Champion will be at Hamilton Jewelers in downtown Mount Pleasant.

Before the contest begins, each team will be given a piece of paper with a picture on it and a phone number. This will be the team's initial clue to start the Dash. All teams will start at the same time and go find the item in their picture. Once the team decides where the item is located, they will go to the item. There will be a person at the site to help the teams take a picture with the item. The team will them text the picture to Verizon (the number will be given at each site). Once the picture is received from Verizon, the team will receive a return text with the next item that the team is to find. 

The winner will be determined by the team that texts all of the pictures to Verizon first. A team will know they have finished, when they receive a text that states they have finished the Dash.

The winner of the $5,000 Diamond Dash will be crowned at Hamilton Jewelers at 7:30 pm.
